n August 8th, Interim President Jordan Rushton organized and hosted a meeting on the Dixie Tech campus with executives from local Tech Ridge companies, including Zonos, Intergalactic, Vasion and BusyBusy, attempting to find new ways that Dixie Tech can support their industry.

Tech Ridge is a 180 acre mixed-use development, seeking to redefine the modern urban center by drawing innovative tech companies and amplifying their ability to attract and retain top talent.

Zonos has become the most accurate technology-based solution for landed cost and international selling on the market.  Intergalactic is an aerospace systems integrator that builds the world’s smartest, lightest, and most advanced thermal management systems for the commercial aviation, defense, and space sectors.

Vasion enables users to create end-to-end workflows that connect e-forms, information capture, e-signatures, and storage.  Busybusy has grown into the #1 Time Tracking app for all non-desk employee industries.

With their input, Dixie Tech is seeking legislative funding to start a Full Stack Development program to provide trained employees who are ready to go to work.  Other ideas included creating training opportunities for local talent to be trained for work in the high-wage positions available in that industry, as well as training current employees with the skills they need to advance.

“Dixie Technical College’s mission is to meet the needs of our local industry partners,” said Jordan Rushton, Interim President, Dixie Technical College. “We are so pleased with our collaborative partnerships with our neighbors on Tech Ridge and around the Southern Utah region. We are actively working on new offerings that will meet the ever-changing needs of these high tech industries.”
