Collision Repair Technology

A plaque highlighting the work ethic of the family was dedicated and placed near the Collision Repair Lab.

n recognition of the Odette Family, Ideal Distributors, and their support and generosity towards Dixie Technical College, a plaque highlighting the work ethic of the family was dedicated and placed near the Collision Repair Lab.

In 2001, the family bought a small paint store and have since propelled the business to be a Platinum Distributor with PPG Industries, garnering national and international recognition. Through the years, Ideal Distributors and the Odette family have shared their success as they exhibit continued support towards Dixie Tech.

Their contributions extend far beyond financial assistance as they have generously volunteered countless hours serving on our Occupational Advisory Committee where they provide valuable insights into the skills that graduates need to excel in the workforce. Ray Jr. has also been a member of our Board of Trustees for many years. They have donated supplies, products, equipment, and paint for the Collision Repair program and around campus buildings.

The relationship between Dixie Technical College and Ideal Distributors has helped establish success for the students in the Collision Repair program as they receive opportunities to work hands-on with the latest industry technology and innovations.

As an industry partner, Ideal Distributors has worked to establish relationships between Dixie Tech and the experts of the workforce. Each year, two training sessions are held on our campus by trainers from PPG. Our students have the opportunity to sit in on these trainings alongside current working professionals from around the country to learn about the newest products, equipment, and techniques that are available in the workforce.

The excellent relationships between Dixie Tech and local businesses is what continues to expand our programs and provide a well-trained workforce which lives and works right here in Washington County.

The Collision Repair Technology program trains and equips students with the confidence and up-to-date knowledge derived from hands-on experience, setting them up for future success by gaining knowlege in auto body repair, vehicle restoration, automotive painting and so much more!

This program is aligned with the Inter-Industry Conference on Auto Collision Repair (I-CAR) and imparts students with the fundamental skills that are used in collision repair careers. Students gain an understanding of techniques for panel repair, painting software, shop safety, car restoration, damage analysis and more.

At Dixie Technical College, we are committed to providing students with an exceptional education that prepares them to enter the workforce fully equipped. Start your career in the collision repair industry today by applying at DixieTech.edu
