Student Wellness Center

Elisa was born and raised here in St. George, Utah. She obtained her undergraduate nursing degree from Dixie State University. She later continued on to complete her master’s degree as Nurse Practitioner from Chamberlain College of Nursing and a post-master’s certificate in Nursing Education from Western Governors University.

She has 18 years of nursing experience and began her career in home health nursing, infusion therapy, and oncology nursing. Over the past 7 years, she has worked in acute care settings serving her community as Nurse Practitioner with the Hospitalist department for the medical group at SGRH, the Emergency Department at SGRH, and as clinical director of Corner Clinic Urgent Care.

She is board certified in both as a Family Nurse Practitioner and Emergency Nurse Practitioner, as well as a specialty certification as a Certified Medical Examiner for the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA). Elisa has a passion for education and is thrilled to be working at Dixie Technical College.

Through the Student Wellness Center, Elisa is committed to providing hands-on clinical education experiences to students enrolled in medical programs and offering high quality medical care and screenings to all enrolled students at Dixie Tech.
