Jenny Lee PhD, Therapist
Jenny Lee, PhD, is a licensed psychologist who earned her doctorate in clinical psychology from Loma Linda University in 2021. Since 2017, she has worked with college students, her preferred population. Her research explores video game use and problematic gaming, alongside the therapeutic benefits of tabletop role-playing games.

TB (Tuberculosis) Testing
Where can Students Get a TB Skin Test?
On Campus:

Off Campus:
Students may also complete their TB test with a licensed medical provider of their choice and then upload their results to their application. TB testing is widely available at clinics, pharmacies, and local health departments.
How Long Does It Take?
The TB Skin Test requires two visits:
First Visit: A small amount of tuberculin is injected into the skin of your forearm. This takes about 10 minutes.
Second Visit (48–72 hours later): A healthcare professional examines the injection site for a raised, hardened area of swelling.
A positive test means you were likely infected with TB bacteria. Additional tests are needed to determine if you have latent TB infection or active TB disease. If your test is positive, you’ll be instructed to follow up with your healthcare provider.

The following Medical and EMS Technology programs require a TB test:
- Biotechnology
- EMT
- AEMT
- Firefighter
- Medical Assistant
- Nursing Assistant
- Pharmacy Technician
- Practical Nursing
Why Is It Required for Admission?
TB testing is a state requirement to ensure the health and safety of students and patients. Medical and EMS students participate in clinicals, externships, and shadowing experiences in healthcare settings where TB can spread easily.
Testing helps confirm that students do not have an active, contagious form of TB before beginning training. Early detection prevents the spread of TB among students, patients, staff, and the community.

Note: A TB skin test is not an immunization and can not be waived under any vaccine exemption requests.

Kaitlyn grew up in northern Utah, where she graduated from Weber State University with her B.S. in Education, and later received her M.Ed. in Instructional Learning & Technology from Western Governors University. She is passionate about helping and supporting students in furthering their education and improving their lives. In her spare time she enjoys being outdoors in the sunshine, time at the pool, staying active, watching movies, and eating good food.

About Christian:
Christian Wright brings over two decades of dedicated experience in collegiate athletics and academic advisement to his position at Dixie Tech. After earning his degree from Utah State University, he served for 21 years as a highly successful coach for both the men’s and women’s tennis teams. Wright further expanded his expertise through a decade as an Academic Advisor at Utah Tech. He is dedicated to helping Dixie Tech students find success.
