If you witness or are involved in an accident, threat, injury, or unsafe situation then please report the incident here.
Student
In the event of an emergency
- Call or text 911
- Notify your instructor or Dixie Tech staff.
- Complete an Incident Report
Employee
In the event of an emergency

What To Do in an Emergency
Medical
Medical Emergencies
– Call or text 911
– Administer First Aid
– Notify Campus Security, Instructors and Staff
Lockdown
Threat Inside Building
– Call or text 911
– Lock doors, silence phones, turn off lights and stay out of sight
– Wait for law enforcement to give the “all-clear”
Lockout
Threat outside of building
– Exterior doors locked, remain inside safely.
Evacuate
Fire, Gas or Earthquake
– Follow exit signs and take the safest rout out.
Shelter
Weather or Hazardous Materials
– Stay indoors, away from windows and wait for instructions.
General Emergency Information
During emergencies, Dixie Technical College’s Rave Mobile Safety emergency alert notification system will inform students, faculty, and staff of major emergencies. Notification examples:
– Know at least two exit routes from your classroom or work area.
– Keep your phone charged for alerts.
– Report suspicious behavior.
– Familiarize yourself with AED & first aid kit locations throughout campus.
Evacuation areas:
1. CULINARY ARTS, ELECTRICAL, PLUMBING, CDL, BUILDING C STAFF, CAFÉ STAFF, BIOTECHNOLOGY AND PHLEBOTOMY TECHNICIAN – Meet in the southwest parking lot by the CDL trucks
2. WELDING TECHNOLOGY, HVACR TECHNICIAN, MACHINING TECHNOLOGY, DIESEL TECHNOLOGY, HEAVY EQUIPMENT TECHNOLOGY, AND BUILDING B STAFF – Meet in the southwest parking lot on the side of building B
3. COLLISION REPAIR TECHNOLOGY, AUTOMOTIVE TECHNOLOGY, INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY, DRAFTING AND DESIGN, MOBILE APP DEVELOPMENT – Meet in the northwest parking lot on the side of building B
4. DIGITAL DESIGN, CRM SYSTEMS, SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT, PHARMACY TECHNICIAN, PRACTICAL NURSING, NURSING ASSISTANT, EMT AND AEMT – Meet in the north parking lot.
5. MEDICAL STAFF, MEDICAL ASSISTANT, MARKETING, STUDENT SERVICES, ADMINISTRATION – Meet in the east undeveloped dirt lot.
