IN A NUTSHELL

The NA program at Dixie Tech prepares students for entry into professional nursing as a Certified Nurse Assistant or CNA.  This is the gateway through which anyone interested in a nursing career must pass.  Kindness and compassion are unstated prerequisites for the program which is fast-paced with lots of hands-on learning opportunities.  The program at Dixie Tech prepares students to take the Utah Nursing Assistant Registry (UNAR) exam to become recognized as a CNA. Graduates have the opportunity to work in a broad variety of environments from hospitals to home-health to long-term care facilities in many aspects of patient care.   You may pursue this as a career step to advance in the nursing field, but it is also a rewarding career in itself, enabling you to find joy in caring for those who can no longer care for themselves.
