American Association of University Women St. George Branch

American Association of University Women St. George Branch advances equity for women and girls in Southern Utah through philanthropy, advocacy, and education. Each year we award scholarships averaging $1,000 each to eligible Southern Utah area women.

Our Scholarship Committee establishes the criteria of scholarships and determines the awardees based on women who demonstrate a financial need and have the potential for educational success by completing their degree. Sources of funding include the annual gala event, other Branch sponsored fundraisers and private donations.

AMERICANMUSCLE STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP

4 x $2000 scholarships for students pursuing an automotive-themed major (mechanical engineering, robotics, etc.) Two scholarships will be awarded every spring semester, followed by two additional scholarships to be awarded for the fall semester each year.

AmericanTrucks Student Scholarship

4 x $2000 scholarships to students (including high school seniors) pursuing a career in the traditional building trades such as HVAC, carpentry, electrical, or related fields of study. Two scholarships will be awarded every spring semester, followed by two additional scholarships to be awarded for the fall semester each year

Associated General Contractors of Utah

This scholarship is intended for those pursing a career in the construction industry. Deadline is November 1, 2023. Send completed application via email to Taylor Smith at tsmith@agc-utah.org or you can mail application, it must be postmarked no later than November 1st, 2023. A Courageous Spirit Scholarship

To encourage everyone to confront their fears and build more meaningful lives, this scholarship exists to support a courageous and ambitious person who wants to grow.
Eligibility: All college students.
Amount: $500, awarded twice per year.

Beacon Scholarship Opportunity for Rural America

Award two $1000 scholarships in the Fall and one $1,000 scholarship in the Spring. Applicants must be college-bound graduating high school seniors, current college students or adult learners with a GPA of 3.0 or higher (high school or college) who are planning to enroll in an accredited college program.

Metal Supermarkets Scholarship

Metal Supermarkets is proud to support the skilled trades, and we want to make it easier for students to pursue one of these viable, stable, and well-paying careers.
Metal Supermarkets has kicked off the 3rd annual trade school scholarships program, which includes four $2,500 scholarships to support young people seeking careers in the valuable trade industries in the United States and Canada.

Deadline to Apply: June 28, 2024

Eligibility:
Students accepted to and attending a post-secondary trade school program with a semester beginning in 2024.
Open to citizens, permanent residents and resident aliens legally residing in the USA or Canada with a High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
Scholarship funds are payable to the winner’s certified trade school in the United States or Canada.

The winner must enroll or already be enrolled in the upcoming semester.
Employees of Metal Supermarkets Franchising Family of Companies, its franchisees, franchisee staff or their family members may not enter.

RRCI | Empowering People with Disabilities

RRCI has established a scholarship fund to assist a limited number of students with disabilities to continue their education after high school. Successful applicants may be granted a scholarship of up to $500.

The Southern Utah Home Builders Association (SUHBA) has an established scholarship program. Each year, SUHBA will award scholarships to students pursuing post-high school education. Preference for scholarships will be given to students pursuing construction-related education and students affiliated with SUHBA. The scholarship may be used to fund almost any post-secondary education, i.e., college or vocational, public, or private. Monies will be paid directly to the school of choice of the winners to help defray the cost of tuition. Recipients may be awarded up to $1,000 per academic year. Applicant must be Grade 12 or equivalent to apply.

SUTA Scholarship

The Southern Utah Trucking Association sponsors scholarships for students entering the Diesel Technology or CDL programs. Interested students must fill out the application and submit it by the spring or fall deadline.

Utah First Cash for College Scholarship

At Utah First, we love students. We love your ability to cram for tests and stay up late on caffeinated soda. But most of all, we love to see you succeed with the least amount of financial stress possible. The Utah First Cash for College program will award $1,000 cash scholarships to 25 lucky students every quarter.

Selection Dates:
First Quarter: April 1, 2024
Second Quarter: July 1, 2024
Third Quarter: October 1, 2024
Fourth Quarter: January 1, 2025

To be eligible, you must be:

A member and primary account holder* at Utah First Credit Union
A current college, trade school, or vocational school student (in any state)
No application process is required. Simply fill out the form to become eligible for a scholarship.

Your Health Journey Scholarship

The Your Health Journey Scholarship is an annual $500 scholarship open to anyone who has worked towards living a healthier lifestyle.

Eligibility –

In order to be awarded any type of College Scholarship, students must be U.S. citizens or Legal Resident aliens. Some scholarship awards can only be provided to Utah State Residents. Students on scholarship must maintain satisfactory progress (67%) and attendance (85%) at all times while attending the College. Some programs require higher rates of progress or attendance. These program requirements will be considered when making selections or evaluating continued eligibility. Failure to maintain satisfactory progress or attendance can result in automatic withdrawal of the scholarship.

Scholarships are normally only available for programs that are regular, ongoing technical College programs that lead to an approved, Certificate of Completion. Exceptions can be granted on a case-by-case basis for need-based awards, but only if you can establish the program leads to gainful employment or licensing. All requests for exceptions must be submitted in writing to the Financial Aid office.
